Since moving to Ottawa in 2016, Dr. MacArthur has developed one of the busiest plastic surgery practices in the capital. He is known for his friendly and calm demeanor with patients, along with the ability to deliver personalized surgical plans that yield natural, timeless results.
Originally from Winnipeg, Dr. MacArthur attended the University of Manitoba, where he obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees, his medical doctorate, and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2014.
From there, he moved to Miami, Florida, where he completed his fellowship in Craniofacial surgery at the Miami Children’s Hospital. In addition to having the privilege of operating on children and adults afflicted with congenital facial anomalies, he also had the opportunity to train with some of the best facial aesthetic surgeons in North America. Dr. MacArthur is the only plastic surgeon in Eastern Ontario trained with an ACGME-accredited Craniofacial surgery fellowship.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Macarthur is a published author in molecular genetics, cleft lip and palate surgery, and oncologic reconstruction.
He has been an invited speaker at plastic surgery conferences throughout Canada, the United States, and Japan. When patients consult with Dr. MacArthur, they will find the visit to be patient-focused and results oriented.
