The Procedure
The most common labial procedure performed at New Age can be called a "trim labiaplasty." This procedure is done under local anesthetic and takes less than an hour. The entire length of the labia minora is shortened, and all excess tissue is removed. The resulting scar is set on the edge of the labia minora for camouflage.
Occasionally patients wish to reduce the size of their outer labia, also known as the labia majora. This procedure requires a general anesthetic and is frequently combined with a labia minora reduction. Surgery takes roughly 90 minutes. The resulting scars run along the length of the labia majora.
Labiaplasty surgery should result in a tucked appearance, with no protrusion of excess labia minora tissue. A labia majora reduction should have a similarly smooth, aesthetically-pleasing contour.
