Available neuromodulators used by our team include Botox and Dysport.

These products work by temporarily paralysing targeted facial muscles. Often this is done to hide fine lines and wrinkles. In other cases, such as a botox brow lift, the neuromodulators work to provide dynamic shaping to the eyebrow by altering muscle function. Neuromodulator treatments are not permanent and must be repeated every 3-4 months.

It is important to be aware that non-surgical brow lift procedures are medical treatments that should only be performed by an expert nurse injector or board-certified plastic surgeon.

Although this procedure carries very low risk when performed by an experienced practitioner, severe and sometimes permanent complications can occur when injectables are performed by an inexperienced or untrained injector. This procedure should only be done at an accredited medical facility by experienced injectors overseen directly by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Many different injectable filler products are available on the market today, and New Age Medical Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery only uses safe, top-rated and long-acting hyaluronic acid products. These include options offered by Restylane and Juvederm. Hyaluronic acid is a synthetic form of a naturally-occurring substance that provides volume, hydration and flexibility to the skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent and need to be repeated every 12-18 months. The exact amount of time the lip fillers last will depend on the patient.

At the time of your treatment, make-up is removed and topical anaesthetic is applied to avoid discomfort.

Fillers may be injected with either fine needles or cannulas. Most patients describe the feeling of being injected as a light pinch. Depending on your treatment plan, your appointment may last between 15 and 30 minutes. It is not uncommon to undergo injectable treatments for other areas at the same time, such as lip filler or under eye filler.

Swelling after filler injections is mostly resolved by 2 days post-procedure, although subtle swelling may last up to 2 weeks. Results after filler injection are immediate.

Neuromodulator treatments can take 10-14 days to see results. Immediately after treatment we advise patients not to lay flat for four hours. Do not massage the area or apply heat to the injected region.

To prepare for your injectable appointment our staff will discuss certain medications that need to be avoided. These include certain herbal supplements, blood thinners or any other medications that can lead to bruising.
